Maybe you have never learnt to knit, crochet or embroider but would like to learn, the ladies will assist you. Scarves are always popular. Donations of wool or crochet thread would also be appreciated. If you have more than enough items already made at home, and the grand kids have lots, Santa’s Anonymous will be delighted to receive these items. That same day, September 30th, Soup and Sandwiches will be served for $5.00 at ll:45 am-1:pm. Let the Centre know if you plan to attend so the right amount of food can be prepared. Doreen McIntyre has volunteered to do the first one with the assistance of others. All soups will be home-made.What’s your favorite soup? Inside the Centre, the new stage c/w sound system and new paint throughout most of the building was made possible with the New Horizons for Seniors Program 2015 Stage Safety Grant. Thanks to Judy Woyewika, Dianne Dunn and Cecile McCrae for their assistance in seeing this project to fruition. It looks great! Outside the Seniors’ Centre, other activities are taking place. The roof of the community baking oven is in progress and plans are to stoke up the fires to make bannock and cinnamon buns on Saturday, September 26th to celebrate Cultural Days. The new roof on the Museum and window up-dates add to its charm. Can’t wait to 3”final wide version see the results of the Heritage Park!
