Each mod is eight weeks in length. Management Core classes meet one night per week; Health Care industry classes meet one weekend per month.

Capstone Project and Leadership Development Program

Flexibility for distance students

Students based outside Middle Tennessee have the opportunity to greatly reduce their travel by participating in a portion of classroom sessions via real-time teleconference. Distance students can engage in face-to-face dialogue with professors and peers through state-of-the art technology during weekday core courses and visit Nashville for the weekend industry-intensive sessions.

Here are some examples of recent Capstone Projects. Expanding a regional footprint. Team developed a strategy for expansion by identifying criteria for evaluating and analyzing opportunities. Improving access to care. Team evaluated the feasibility of creating a telemedicine network as a way of improving access to care despite a physician shortage. Decreasing non-emergency utilization of ER. Team identified un- and under-insured individuals and rerouted their visits from ERs to a new federally qualified and funded health center. Assessing the impact of a merger. Team evaluated the impact of a new hospital and proposed marketing synergies as well as a specialized positioning that would result in incremental growth.

Woven throughout the experience, our Leadership Development Program was designed in partnership with Korn Ferry and offers you access to the tools and support you need to learn, practice, modify and grow your leadership skills. Assessments You will utilize several best-in class diagnostic tools used by Fortune 100 companies to develop their top talent.

Executive Coaching You will be paired with an executive coach who will help you identify strengths to leverage and ways to manage “derailers” that can undermine your success as a manager and leader.

Individual Development Plan You will be encouraged to develop a personal development plan to help better identify your career goals and develop an action plan to achieve them.
