Comprehensive Resources for Military-Affiliated Students

We understand the challenges servicemembers and veterans face in earning their degrees. That’s why we provide reduced tuition rates for servicemembers and their eligible spouses and dependent children for most programs, the Vessey Virtual Student Union for assistance with your postmilitary transition, and additional resources especially for veterans.

We also provide personalized advising and support online from knowledgeable military and veteran advisors through our Virtual Advising Rooms.

We offer the following scholarships and financial assistance programs:

■ Veterans Assistance Fund for student veterans whose Federal financial aid and VA benefits are unavailable or exhausted

■ Pillars of Strength Scholarship Program for caregivers of recovering servicemembers and veterans

■ UMGC-NMFA Scholarship for spouses of active-duty, reservist, and/or National Guard servicemembers through the National Military Family Association

More scholarship opportunities are available for students who actively participate in the SALUTE Honor Society, One2One Mentorship Program, and the Vessey Virtual Student Union. Plus, we offer a scholarship to our annual Student Veteran of the Year. Additional eligibility criteria may apply to any of the scholarships offered at UMGC.
