Discover Pantone’s interiors colour of the year

If there’s one shade you can expect to see when interiors shopping this year, it’s Pantone’s Colour of the Year, Viva Magenta. It’s a powerful, joyful berry red that creates warmth and encourages unrestrained self-expression. It’s best used as an accent colour unless full on gothic drama is your thing. Pupils at Bucksburn Academy in Aberdeen had the chance to create their own flavour of burgers as part of a Food Product Development project for their S3 Home Economics and Business Studies. Once these were developed, they were judged by Donald Russell Chef, Eddie McDonald, and Head of HR Chris Dunridge.

The chosen winner of the Dragon’s Den style competition was an Asian-inspired pork burger, which is currently being adapted for production on a larger scale will be and available for sale to Donald Russell customers.

The pupils were invited to Donald Russell’s Inverurie butchery to see first-hand how their burgers and other premium products are developed and created. You can find more information at donaldrussell.com.

Cala Homes has launched its new showhome and sales office for the latest phase of its Bridge of Don development, Green Park at Grandhome.

The three-bedroom semi-detached Avon showhome was created by Envision interior designers and is inspired by Japanese prints and a minimalist colour palette.

Green Park at Grandhome is a collection of two, three, four and five-bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached homes. The development is part of Grandhome, a masterplan for 7,000 homes across seven neighbourhoods, plus a town centre, business park, commercial units and community facilities.

The showhome is also set to become a Showhome of Support which will see products from a number of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire based companies displayed.
