Local Realtors focus on teamwork and client support BY ALISON STANTON
Since the day Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Move Time Realty opened in September, it has had two goals: to offer a personalized and ongoing relationship with each client, and to provide its Realtors with the tools they need to do their job efficiently. “We truly feel that the people we work with are not just clients, so we work on developing an ongoing relationship with them,” says co-owner and designated broker Susan Paul. Joan Kilbey, managing broker and Realtor, agrees. “We train our agents to provide value to their neighborhoods and to provide a more personal focus on the lifestyle of the consumer, which means our agents are trained on how to exceed our clients’ expectations in a way that extends beyond showing them houses,” she says. “The underlying philosophy of Move Time Realty is to be an all-encompassing real estate office that provides value to clients not just when they are buying and selling, but also continues to assist them with their home needs throughout the year.” As Paul notes, one way that Move Time Realty offers an exceptional experience for their clients is by having two Realtors on staff who are also interior designers, and a general
contractor who is available to work with clients as needed. This was the brainchild of co-owner Matthew Hage, who got the idea from talking to other agents across the country. “This way we have someone here who can work with clients and give them a bid for repairs, and they can give an idea on costs and help expedite the transaction,” Paul says. To stay in touch with the community, the office hosts a Recipe of the Month event on the first Saturday of the month. The next event, which is free and open to the public, is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3. Paul says she, Kilbey and Hage also do everything they can to make sure their team of Realtors are well-equipped with the support and training required to be successful. “We have a one team, one dream, one philosophy here and our motto is PAIGE, which stands for passion, authenticity, innovation, growth and excellence,” Paul says. One of the things she enjoys about her work is to be there for the agents and help them however they need it. “To me, a supported agent is a successful agent, and I want to give them all of the tools they need to be successful, so they can better their own lives and their clients’ lives.” Kilbey’s passion is training the agents and preparing them to work with clients.
