agrIcuLturaL support program

Through our agricultural support program, we offer farmers and ranchers educational workshops, networking opportunities, and technical assistance to create a healthier and more vibrant food and farm community.

Farmers and ranchers feed our communities, and we work with them to meet their mission and connect with you, the consumer. Our educational workshops and networking opportunities provide capacity support for local farmers and ranchers to reach their full potential. We also provide financial support through Grow & Give (see p.10) and VeggieRx (see p.12) by paying farmers for their food products.

“The Season Extender grant has helped us to achieve a more stable season and allowed us to grow earlier in the spring and later in the fall. We were able to rotate more crops in the hoop house and sell thousands of pounds of salad mix before and after the farmers market season. The hoophouse has helped increase our income and the amount of produce we are able to donate.” -2020 Season Extender grant recipient Awarded $37,000 in season extender grants, provided 14 virtual and in-person training events
