Welcome to Autumn 2022 with Charlotte Hall

We are delighted to share another exceptional season full of thrills and spills in comedy, theatre, dance, film, music and more to creatively ignite Eastleigh Borough. Autumn is such an exciting season, getting increasingly festive as the months go by, with merriment in abundance no matter your age. Get ready to be wowed!

Kicking off the festive season are Santa’s Grotto and The Sorting Office’s Christmas Makers Market to get us in that sparkly December mood during Eastleigh’s Christmas lights switch on. The sublime Hundred Watt Club’s Festive Burlesque takes care of all your Christmas night out needs and is guaranteed to brighten up cold winter nights (this one is firmly for the grown-ups!). For families we welcome back Slot Machine Theatre to The Berry Theatre to delight imaginations with Kipper’s Snowy Day, starring the much-loved pup so many of us grew up enjoying or have shared with our children and grandchildren. Slot Machine are also taking up residence in our Studio Theatre at The Point with SNUG, our first ever magical storyworld, free for under 5s and their carers.

Back to September, Autumn kicks off with the Sustainability Hub Big Ideas Weekend, a free event brimming with local creative and community action for our planet including stalls and pop-up performances. Eastleigh Film Festival will take place later than usual this year but still provides an cinematic feast of film for the senses including a chance to create your own SFX in Monty Python and the Foley Grail. Halloween Half Term will be boo-rilliant for little goblins and ghouls with Nick Sharratt’s Halloween Draw-along a highlight amongst a plethora of ways to get involved.

All of our regular favourites make a welcome return so we can carry on enjoying Too Good Tuesdays, The Comedy Network, Inclusive Cinema, StoryTribe and our fabulous classes and courses, including the relaunch of our Point Young Companies for theatre and dance for anyone aged 5 – 18 who is ready for a creative youth revolution!

Personally, I cannot wait for Destiny and What songs may do… because I love beautiful storytelling that can lift and move you all at once, but whatever you choose, we thank you for your continued support and we cannot wait to welcome you.
