“Dead Ringers” (Prime Video — limited series premiere, April 21)

This original limited series stars Rachel Weisz (“Disobedience”) as dual lead characters in this modern-day update of David Cronenberg’s 1988 thriller about twin siblings who push the boundaries of medical ethics to challenge antiquated practices and bring women’s health care to the forefront. Britne Oldford, Poppy Liu, Michael Chernus and Jennifer Ehle also star.

“Iconic America: Our Symbols and Stories With David Rubenstein” (PBS — series premiere, April 26) American history is explored in this new eight-episode documentary series by closely examining iconic national symbols across the country, including Fenway Park, the Hollywood Sign, the Gadsden Flag, the American Cowboy and more. In each episode, David Rubenstein is on location and in conversation with historical thinkers, community members, and subject matter experts such as David “Big Papi” Ortiz (former Red Sox player) for the premiere episode “Fenway Park.” They discuss these artifacts, places, and archetypes and examine the ways Americans engage with these subjects.
