Gov’t hones digital skills of Home for Girls residents, staff

BUTUAN CITY – Residents and personnel of the Home for the Girls (HFG) here have completed a three-day digital literacy training aimed at improving their approach to interactive technology.

“The training was conducted under the Technology for Education, Employment, Entrepreneurs, and Economic Development (Tech4ED) project of the DICT,” the DSWD-13 said.

The Tech4ED project aims to bridge the digital divide by improving access to information and communications technology and digital opportunities for underserved areas in the country, especially the poor, and vulnerable sectors.

“The training is seen to create more self-reliant communities through access to connectivity, communication, information, and vital government services, thus giving equal opportunities to all,” the DSWD-13 said.

The agency lauded DICT-13 for the shared and continued efforts in assisting the HFG here.
