Styling Magazine - Lichen Bird's Nest

I am delighted to open this month’s issue with three little paintings that have been in our family for over a hundred years. My favourite is this one (as seen on the front cover). The sweet little moss bird’s nest sits on a lichen covered apple blossom branch. It is so very typical of my own garden here in The Southern Highlands of NSW, Australia. The artist, unknown, (I think she was a great Aunt) has painted these scenes up close, as if she was sitting up in the tree. Knowing my family well, she most probably did climb up there with her little sketch block and pencils.
