The 2022 Dunga Derby was yet another resounding success, with $584,026 raised for Queensland families facing tough times. GetGenuine member Pialba Smash Repairs are a regular participant in the Fraser Coast Dunga Derby, proudly reaching their fundraising target of $5,000 raised.

Pialba Smash Repairs have enjoyed entering the Dunga Derby adventures every year since it all began in 2015. They say they will continue to join in every year and chip away at their already incredible donation tally – currently over $42,000. The Dunga Derby started in 2015, when a group of local businesses came together after a friend’s child was struck down with an aggressive brain tumour. Shortly afterwards, a teenage dancer in the community was diagnosed with bone cancer.

The group of businesses wanted to raise money to support the families’ medical, travel and loss of income expenses. And so the Rally for a Cause Dunga Derby concept was born.

Over 300 people working together- fundraising for their local community, working hard for the benefit of others.
