THE NEW OLD is one very kick ass band that hails from Michigan, Detroit. This five piece band put the ‘swag’ into the true meaning of roll and soul. The bands ‘raw’ sound is great to hear as the band’s sound is upfront in your face from the very first note. Get ready to rock your socks off and crank it up loud! The band is all about groovy, old school, funky rock and rock as it should be played.

The band is: R.A. TAYLOR: Vocals; CHRISTOPHER MARTIN JAMES: Guitar; MICHELE JONES: Vocals and Percussion: PAMELA JONES; Bass and BILL HENRIKSON; Drums. This 10 CD was Mastered by Jim Kissling and Produced by Geoff Michael and Chris Jones.

The first song, BAM! BAM! is a true rock song to the core and a bit of a headbanger’s song that will grab by the throat and hold you there tight throughout the song. The vocals are as great as Debbie Harry and Chrissie Hyde and that says a lot.

MONKEYTOWN has an off beat funky beat as the lyrics will get in your head as R.A. ‘s amazing vocals will, definitely, get in your head. Check out this song for yourself. CRASH ‘’77 has quite an interesting intro and then kicks into a great funky beat. This is one of those songs that will get into your head and you won’t be able to ‘shake it off’. The melody and lyrics are a must to hear, but make sure you ‘crank it up loud’.

DARK RIVER is truly a Rolling Stones song all the way through. The beat and guitar riffs are the Stones to a “T’. This song would make the STONES proud knowing their influence on the band. A must to hear.

BLACK GOAT brings this amazing CD to an end. I’m more than quite impressed with this band and that says a lot for me. Hats off to Chris Jones for being in touch.
