MASORTI is PHIL MASORTI is living out his dream in the music business in New York. He has surrounded himself with quite a few well known musicians on this new release. Phil’s voice has reflections of Leonard Cohen meets Mark Knopler/Warren Zevon.

The musicians are: PHIL MASORTI: Vocals, guitar; OZ NOY:Guitar; CONRAD KORSCH: Bass; STAN HARRISON: Sax and BRIAN DELANEY:Drums. This new 10 song release was Produced and mixed by Conrad Korsch and Mastered by Scott Hull.

TRUTH BE TOLD kicks off this CD with a very interesting reverb intro and slowly weaves into a sweet rhythm as Phil’s vocals stand out on their own. I really found this song quite interesting coming from Phil because he is using f-bombs. Great way to kick off a CD.

USED has another great intro that slams you in their face. Phil is singing about experiences he had in life that are both good and bad. The music really holds its own throughout the song.

THE MAN seems to have a bit of a country favor as Phil sings about the New York environment around him.He sings this song with a lot of conviction and his feelings are shown throughout the song. This is a must to hear.

MIRRORS has a great intro as the sax is screaming in your face and the guitars are pounding away at you. Phil is staring himself in the mirror and has so many questions about his well being and where to go from here. So many questions unto himself. Check this one out.

FATHER’S EYES was one of Phil’s very first releases he ever recorded. This song is pure country as Phil takes about the times with his Dad.
