No. 73 Desiree Severance Archbishop Mitty-San Jose, Softball, Senior A two-way talent bound for Drexel University, Severance helped lead the Monarchs to a repeat of the Central Coast Section Div. II championship. The senior P/1B hit .346 and was second on the team with 28 RBI. She went 15-0 in the circle with a 1.16 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 90.1 innings of work and earned the victory in the CCS final.

No. 72 Jordan Parker Pittsburg, Football/Basketball, Junior The junior defensive back emerged as one of the top big-play threats on a Pittsburg defense full of them in 2014. He posted 32 tackles, five interceptions and 10 pass deflections on his way to being a SportStars All-NorCal Defensive selection and Bay Area News Groups’ East Bay Defensive Player of the Year. He orally committed to UCLA in April.

No. 69 Albert Muñante Mt. Pleasant-San Jose, Soccer, Senior The CSU Fullerton-bound striker totaled 24 goals and six assists on his way to leading Mt. Pleasant to a Central Coast Section Division II Co-Championship and being named the San Jose Mercury News Boys Soccer Player of the Year. Muñtante scored both of his team’s goals in the CCS final against Leland-San Jose.

No. 68 Mackenzie Albrecht Sonoma Valley-Sonoma, Volleyball, Senior The Cal-bound senior setter was named a MaxPreps.com All-American and All-State Division III after posting 1,097 assists (11.8/set), 300 digs, 29 blocks, 65 aces and 81 kills. Her Dragons team finished 29-4 and won its first North Coast Section Div. III title since 2000.

No. 67 Franny Cerny Berkeley, Soccer, Senior Cerny captained the Yellow Jackets to a 15-4-3 season while being the East Bay’s most prolific scorer. Cerny had 35 goals and 14 assists (84 points) over just 22 games. She will attend DePaul University, which was nationallyranked this past season.

No. 66 Isaiah Langley No. 71 Jurnee Woodward Vacaville, Track & Field, Sophomore In just two years, Woodward has established herself as one of the fastest hurdlers in the state. She was the Sac-Joaquin Section champ in both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles. At the state championships she finished second in the 300 and eighth in the 100.

Foothill-Pleasanton, Football/Track, Senior A gifted, two-way talent, Langley helped lead the Falcons to the NCS Div. I semifinals with big contributions at receiver and cornerback. Offensively, the future USC Trojan had 33 catches for 638 yards and 12 TDs. Defensively, he was considered one of the top lockdown corners in the East Bay. He competed sparingly in track during the spring.

No. 65 Justin Hooper No. 70 Vanessa Tria James Logan-Union City, Wrestling, Senior Tria closed her Colts wrestling career by rallying from a 4-1 deficit to win the 143-pound title at the CIF Girls Wrestling State Championships. She beat Foothill-Pleasanton’s Rachael Butler 7-4 and was one of just two Bay Area state champions.

De La Salle-Concord, Baseball, Senior The 6-foot-7 Hooper was a force on the mound for a Spartans team which won 18 games and reached the NCS Div. I final. Hooper now heads for UCLA after posting a 6-3 record with a 1.50 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 51.1 innings of work.
