Career Exploration Camp-Law

July 17-21 / 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Grades 10-12

Instructors: Amy Halbrook, Karen Glum

Camp snapshot: Campers will spend a week taking a deep dive into various aspects of law including career pathways and laws that currently affect them. This is an excellent opportunity for students who might be interested in a law career to explore the field. Lessons and experiences will include visits to Chase College of Law, the Children’s Law Center, a local judge’s chambers, and a local courthouse.

Who should choose this camp: Students with an interest in law

Note: Students must apply and be accepted into this camp. (Limited to 12 students.)

Movie Makers: Short Clips

July 24-28 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Grades 5-8

Instructor: Laura Clemens

Camp snapshot: Campers will enjoy making short films in a variety of genres — suspense, comedy, drama, and more. We will film using different techniques, then edit and share our final short clips. Who should choose this camp: Writers, actors, camera people, directors, and anyone with an interest in filmmaking

Go Local!

Camp snapshot: Local organizations within our city have worked hard to continue to serve the Cincinnati community. We have the opportunity to learn about some of them during this week. All the places we will visit will have a central purpose, whether that be giving back, creating handmade products, featuring art made by local artists, or even working with local parks. Who should choose this camp: Those who want to give back, school leaders, and future philanthropists

The Swarm

Highlight: Kids Choice

Instructor: Elliot Glum

Camp snapshot: Join us to meet up with old friends you haven’t seen all summer and to make new ones! Spend time playing games and sports, going on trips, and making new social connections. The group will collaborate to select activities and truly create their own experience. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will be designed around the students’ interests, Tuesday and Thursday will feature a planned trip. Who should choose this camp: Middle Schoolers who want a relaxed but fun and exciting week with friends

Paddle, Climb, Swim, Fly!

July 31-Aug. 4 / 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Grades 5-8

Instructor: Kristin Suer

Camp snapshot: It’s time to release your inner animal! We will spend every day during this week off campus to get out of our comfort zones and try new things! Activities may include rock climbing, rope courses, indoor skydiving, canoeing, and going to a breakout room.

Upper School PE Course

June 9–23 | 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

(No program June 19)

This is a two week program for Seven Hills 11th grade students

Instructor: Lindsay Steuer

The program will follow, as closely as possible, the established Physical Education curriculum for sophomores as stated in the current course description. Students will be exposed to a variety of lifetime sports and activities as well as fitness exercises that aim to provide stress release to each student. Yoga and Pilates will be incorporated throughout the curriculum as well as self-defense. Students will also learn new workouts in the weight room and different fitness workouts they can use outside of the classroom. Lifetime sports that will be taught include, but are not limited to golf, tennis, frisbee golf, cornhole, badminton, and bowling.
