Lighting is a key architectural and design element in homes all over the world and, just like in the fashion industry, trends regularly change. So, what is hot this year? Well, the first one is definitely ‘upgraded industrial’. These warehouse-inspired looks are absolutely stylish and feature unusual metals and tones. Another trend to look out for is lighting “infused with allusions of nature: in organic forms, in the spectrum of natural colours and the world of bud, leaf and plant motifs”, according to the Trend Forum of Messe Frankfurt’s Light+Building show. Last but not least, be sure to check out geometric lamps – minimalist aesthetics are super hot right now.
