A-LINE High-street retailer Jigsaw has upped their fashion game with the new A-Line collection. Style-wise, think sharp tailoring, pleats, oversized petal shapes and kimono sleeves in the richest and most sumptuous of fabrics. The colour palette mimics that of any classic, well groomed lady – understated and neutral, with a hint of colour in some of the detailing. And all print artwork is hand-painted in Jigsaw’s design studio, so it really is hand-crafted with care.

DRESSED TO THE NINES

LOVED&FOUND Birmingham’s enjoying an exciting period of growth at the moment, particularly in the retail sector. The opening of Grand Central has brought a whole host of new stores and brands to the city, but none more highly anticipated than the arrival of Birmingham’s first John Lewis department store. It’s also the John Lewis to introduce a new boutique shopping concept, Loved&Found into its store. This new shopping department brings with it a “carefully curated” selection of around 27 new contemporary womenswear designers, along with beauty bars and a few lifestyle brands. Loved&Found looks set to be the ideal shopping destination if you’re bored of the same old brands and want something a little more individual. 20 | Style Birmingham | Winter 2015

Anyone remember the sibling of Sienna Miller? Well, after the sisters launched, their own clothing label Twenty8Twelve, Savannah went on to design on her own and now, she’s back with a new collection, exclusive to Debenhams – hurrah! Nine by Savannah is a beautifully boho collection of slip dresses, lace tops, swallow-printed blouses, blanket coats, complemented by suede knee-high boots and fringed bags. Not usually one for a celebrity fashion label, as we all know much of these are about a quick win for the retailer, Nine by Savannah is different. Savannah studied at the renowned Central Saint Martins college of fashion, before going on to work for both Matthew Williamson and Alexander McQueen, so she certainly knows her stuff. We’re fans, and we think you will be too.
