CONSTELLATION MOBILE (2012) The mobiles of Alexander Calder, of the same name, inspired the piano composition Constellation Mobile. In this piece, melodic and harmonic motives continually redefine their contrapuntal relationship to each other. The character of the two outer movements is lyrical and playful. In contrast, the middle movement is sustained, calm and tranquil. Constellation Mobile was written for pianist Ashlee Mack.
