t’s no wonder children and parents love Pure Energy Dance Centre. Since it first opened in 1998, its mission has been to promote self confidence and build self esteem, while fostering a love for dance. Pure Energy takes pride in being your alternative in dance education. The studio promotes personal growth in an emotionally secure and encouraging atmosphere allowing children of all ages to have fun while experimenting with, strengthening and performing new skills. Director and owner Leigh Happel has been teaching dance for over 22 years. She is also a teacher, holding a BA in education/special education. Her teaching background combined with her extensive dance training and love for children enabled her to develop a unique perspective that allows students to thrive and develop a love for dance. Pure Energy offers classes for ages 2 and up, starting with a Mommy & Me transition class and including all genres of dance from ballet and tap to hip-hop. All classes are taught by college-educated instructors with extensive dance training and experience teaching children. There are no competitions and recitals are hassle-free. The studio features raised oak floors to aid in injury prevention.
