retired from 32 years of service as minister of education and outreach, and other educational positions, at Glynwood Baptist Church, Prattville, Ala.

has been named Director of the Office of Cooperative Program and Church Financial Resources at the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions.

BENJAMIN BROWNING (MDIV ‘15, THM ‘17, PHD ‘20)

published his dissertation on how the first-century Roman government responded, entitled Facing the Mob: Rome, the Crowd.

GLENN EUBANKS (MCM ‘82)

retired as worship pastor and associate and senior adults pastor from First Baptist Church, Monroeville, Ala.

RICK MITCHELL (MDIV ’85)

retired March 27 from his position as co-pastor of Forest Lake Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, Ala.

joins the Christian Ministries faculty of Williams Baptist University this fall as Assistant Professor of Christian Ministries and Church Ministry Relations Coordinator.

SARA ROBINSON (THM ’20)

has been named Women’s Ministry and Transition Consultant for the Kentucky Baptist Convention.

joins the Christian Studies and Humanities faculty of BrewtonParker College as Assistant Professor of Theology and Christian Philosophy, and Online Instructional Design Specialist.

LAMAR EUGENE COOPER SR.

(THMH ’69, THD ’75) served as a pastor, a Christian educator and at the SBC’s Christian Life Commission (now the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission). He died June 18 at the age of 80.

A noted Hebrew and Old Testament scholar, Cooper’s writing credits include commentary and notes for The Apologetics Study Bible, The Message, and other publications. He served 33 years on the Criswell College faculty.
