Bowl Of Caring More than 200 people attended Lindenhurst High School’s annual Souper Bowl of Caring, a charity cook-off fundraiser to benefit Superstorm Sandy relief efforts. Students, teachers, administrators and community members enjoyed the festivities, including the cook-off, Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle, donations to Island Harvest and music. Lindenhurst High School students supervised the festivities, led by seniors Caitlin Cress and Nora McKenna. There were more than 30 cook-off participants in categories including soup, chili and baked goods. “The event was a success,” said Principal Daniel Giordano. “We raised money for Superstorm Sandy relief and had a wonderful afternoon.”
