WALTHAMSTOW SCHOOL FOR GIRLS Y11 BAND

The Year 11 Steel Band have been playing together since they were in Year 7. Unfortunately, their lessons were cancelled during COVID so they had a break for 1.5 years but their enthusiasm for playing, and daily practices, have made up for every day lost astonishingly quickly. Their group leader, Richard Murphy, has been teaching Steel Bands at Walthamstow School for Girls, for 38 years.

This was a fantastic way to end our first year of singing in a choir and we enjoyed being able to watch other live performances. We are very excited to perform today.
