by a well-seasoned backup group. We really dig "Me, John & Paul," about childhood friendship through the years, a song that no grown man could resist for its nostalgia value. We only wish the song had more vocal punch in the chorus. "My House" is a snarling, loud n' proud country rocker with a partyhearty singalong. "Coins" is Leary as storyteller again, and it conjures the best of '90s country crooners like Randy Travis.

"Brooklyn Way" which kicks in with a Biggie intro, Asian-flavored textures and a catchy hook bolstered by agile beat drop-outs. "W.T.T.P." delivers a Caribbean touch and is your basic allout club beat with a Brooklyn shoutout that's all about the party. Hampton throws down a surprisingly southern beat for his sexed-up, slow-drawlin' "Dig Her Down." Though not overall distinctive, this artist's voice is a strong cog in a well-oiled machine.

Yes, the songs tend to tred a similar path, but the ladies especially will be touched by "Wherever You Are" and "Marvelous Day" wherein Tinley shows his generosity of spirit and ability to craft acoustic arrangements full of subtlely deployed additions such as cello and EBow.

Yeah, the mix is a slight bit noisy, but "Epiphany" is a winner, a rock-radio-ready cut with singer Michael's whisper/whine riding well above the showers of cymbals and riffs. The driving, vigorous "Prodigal" is nearly as compelling, with production finesse that keeps the track peeling like an onion. An Aderol dream space tune, "Aisa Morta" is an ambitious opus that fans can savor repeatedly for subtle tones and touches.

resulting in Latin-style pop that should please both natives and tourists alike. A relationship gone bad is related in "Para Ti," highlighted by Ruth's nylonstringed flamenco-spirited guitar and low-key handclaps. "Sigo Viviendo" is cut from the same cloth, her voice mixed perfectly to command attention. "Love Denied" has effective claps in the bridge. A mature artist, with a grown-up sensibility, Ruth could do quite well on the winery circuit.
