Su corto Atrapaluz (2021) se estrenó en la competencia internacional del Festival de Locarno. Actualmente, desarrolla su ópera prima Si no ardemos cómo iluminar la noche. Costa Rican screenwriter and director born in 1993. Her short film Night Light (2022) premiered in the Official Short Film Selection of the 75th Cannes Film Festival, becoming the first Costa Rican film to compete for the Palme d’Or. Her short film Suncatcher (2021) premiered in the international competition at the Locarno Film Festival 74. At the moment she is developing her feature film If We Don’t Burn How Do We Light Up the Night.

Zoe, Iris y Clio son tres hermanas, pero una de ellas pronto será asesinada. In a dystopian Rome, a law which doesn’t allow immigrant families to have more than three children is enforced. If a fourth is to be expected, he or she must be born; however, one of them must then be killed, giving the females priority for sacrifice. Zoe, Iris and Clio are three sisters, but one of them will soon be killed.

Se estrenó en la competición Orizzonti del 79o Festival de Cine de Venecia (Macerata, 1989) Ever since she was a child, Giulia loved bringing people together and telling stories to try and move the world into a different direction. She defines herself a dystopian director: she loves to play, distorting rules of society, and of the human being. Tria (Tria - del sentimento del tradire) is her latest short movie (2022). The World Premiere was at the 79th Venice Film Festival (2022) in Orizzonti Competition.

Sus cortometrajes se proyectaron en festivales de cine internacionales y recibieron numerosos premios. I Am Leo es su película de graduación, la cual celebró su estreno en Estados Unidos en el Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. Participaron en la Academia de Medios Infantiles en 2021/22 y recibieron la beca de autor del programa STEP de HessenFilm para desarrollar su serie de debut. (1998) Studied Motion Pictures at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences from 2017 to 2021. Their short films screened at international film festivals and received numerous awards. I Am Leo is Tajo Hurrle’s graduation film, which celebrated its USA premiere at Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. They participated in the Academy for Children’s Media in 2021/22 and received the author scholarship of the STEP program of HessenFilm to develop their debut series.

Iván Blanco

Director madrileño que comienza su carrera con el cortometraje Ropa Sucia. Tras recorrer distintos festivales nacionales e internacionales, se lanza a trabajar en el mundo de la música realizando videos a los artistas de cabecera de la industria del género urbano nacional. Aparte de su recorrido como director, también trabaja como fotógrafo y creador de emplazamientos visuales dedicados a la música y el videoarte en directo. En 2022, Iván lanza su segundo cortometraje El lector en colaboración con el Museo Thyssen Bornemisza. Film director from Madrid who premiered with his first short film Ropa Sucia. He was in nacional and international film festivals. He jumped into the music world making videos for the head artists of the country in the urban style. Besides his career as film director, he also worked as a photographer and creator of stage visuals for the live music industry. In 2022 Ivan introduced his second short film El Lector in colaboration with the Thyssen Bornemisza museum.

Seemab is an award-winning writer, director and producer from Pakistan. Her documentary Zahida, was broadcast on Al Jazeera and won the Audience Award at Tasveer SAFF. Her films have screened in many international festivals. Her short film Sandstorm (Mulaqat) premiered at the 78th Venice International Film Festival and in competition at Sundance 2022. Seemab is an alumna of the Locarno OD Producers Lab, Biennale College Cinema and Berlinale Talents. She is a graduate of the London Film School.

Tras enterarse de las terribles condiciones de vida de Edith, pero sin comprender del todo lo que implica la tarea, decide ingenuamente asumir el papel de su cuidador como si fuera su propia madre. Feeling uprooted and looking for a purpose, Ousmane, a newly arrived Burkinabé immigrant living in Montréal, has his life take a turn when he meets an elderly, disoriented lady, Edith, at the end of a long workday. After learning about Edith’s terrible living conditions, but not fully understanding what the task entails, he naively decides to take on the role of her caregiver as if she was his own mother.

Desde sus inicios en el cine, hace 10 años, ha dirigido una docena de cortometrajes, tanto documentales como de ficción, manteniéndose siempre fiel a dar voz a los individuos más agraviados de la sociedad. Born in a working-class family in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2003, Jorge moved to Montreal, where he pursued a career as a professional photographer and, then, as filmmaker. Since his beginnings in filmmaking 10 years ago, Jorge has directed a dozen short films, both documentary and fiction, always remaining true to giving voice to the most aggrieved individuals of our society.

Un coche se dirige a un pueblo marroquí. A bordo, Maïne y su familia rodean el ataúd del padre. Mañana los hombres lo enterrarán y las mujeres esperarán en casa. Pero la joven no lo acepta y pretende acompañar a su padre en su última morada.

A car drives to a Moroccan village. On board, Maïne and her family surround the father’s coffin. Tomorrow, the men will bury him and the women will wait at home. But the young girl takes a very dim view on it and intends to lead with her father to his final resting place.

After studying management, Jawahine Zentar started working in the film industry as an assistant director, and followed directors on set for 10 years. Sur la tombe de mon père, rather autobiographical, is her first film as a scriptwriter and director. She is currently developing other short and feature-length projects.

Director, actor y payaso de hospital. Estudió interpretación en The Arts Educational School of Acting (Londres) y, años después, estudió Cine en la Copenhagen Technical School. Ha trabajado como guionista, editor y director de comedias para televisión. En 2019, debutó como director con el cortometraje Between a Rock and a Hard Place, seleccionado y premiado en múltiples festivales alrededor del mundo, como Palm Springs International ShortFest y Krakow Film Festival. Tonser es su segundo cortometraje. Director, Actor and Hospital Clown. He was trained as an actor at The Arts Educational School of Acting in London. Years later, he studied Filmmaking at Copenhagen Technical School. He started out as a writer, editor and director of comedy shows for TV. In 2019 he got his directorial short film debut with Between a Rock and a Hard Place, selected and awarded in dozens of festivals, including Palm Springs and Krakow Film Festival. Tonser is his second short film as a director.
