IMAGINATÓN, la sección de realización cinematográfica y audiovisual del Bogotá Short Film Festival / Festival de Cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS, se hace presente de nuevo este año bajo el slogan MICROCORTOS LLENOS DE LUZ para acompañar una edición que se ilumina desde todos los ángulos, incluidos los filminutos y de nuevo en esta décimo tercera edición, mantiene la posibilidad de que participen realizadores de todo el país.

La Maratón de Realización Audiovisual comenzó en 1999, y desde entonces ha puesto a correr por los primeros puestos a más de 10.000 realizadores en varios rincones del país. Durante trece ediciones, Profesionales y Aficionados se han reunido para crear un cortometraje en plano secuencia de 60 segundos en el transcurso de un fin de semana. En las ediciones 15 a la 17 del festival, la maratón se tomó Bogotá y cientos de historias fueron creadas en toda la ciudad. Este año, por tercera vez en el marco de esta inspiradora sección, mantenemos abiertas las puertas a la infinita creatividad que hay en todas las regiones de Colombia, gracias a la posibilidad de la participación online.

Este año por primera vez IMAGINATON contempla filminutos en formato vertical como una categoría especial, los cuales deberán ser alojados en TikTok para su participación oficial. Esta es una apuesta por encontrar en otros encuadres y técnicas alternativas, que van adquiriendo mayor relevancia en la creación audiovisual actual, a los creadores que próximamente poblarán con sus cortos, largos, series y diversos formatos, el espectro audiovisual del país.

Sin ninguna limitación creativa, durante el fin de semana del viernes 9 al domingo 11 de diciembre, realizadores de todo el país, podrán salir a las calles o internarse en inexplorados parajes para rodar sus filminutos y que podamos ver a través de ellos toda la luz de su talento. En nuestra sede principal CityU en Bogotá, los esperamos para grabar su claqueta, registro oficial del filminuto y allí mismo a las 8 PM en la Sala Al Aire Libre CityU el viernes 9 de diciembre les haremos entrega oficial de la clave. A los que no puedan asistir, les enviaremos la claqueta y los esperaremos a través de nuestros canales virtuales para conocer la clave.

Luego podrán empezar a grabar su cortometraje, que debe ser enviado a la organización a más tardar el domingo 11 de diciembre a las 11:59 p.m. Los participantes que entreguen exitosamente sus filminutos (máximo 5 por cada uno), podrán participar por más de 20 millones de pesos en efectivo, y además podrán optar por premios adicionales con nuestras categorías patrocinadas. The Audiovisual Production Marathon began in 1999, and since then it has put more than 10.000 filmmakers in various corners of the country to run for the top spots. For twelve editions, Professionals and Amateurs have come together to create a short 60-second sequence shot over the course of a weekend. In the 15th, 16th and 17th editions of the festival, the marathon took over Bogotá and hundreds of stories were created throughout the city. This year, within the framework of this wonderful section, we have once again opened the doors to the infinite creativity that exists in all regions of Colombia, thanks to the possibility of online participation.

This year for the first time IMAGINATÓN contemplates one-minute shorts in vertical format, a special category which should be uploaded to TikTok for its official participation. This is a bet to find artists, in other frames and alternative techniques that are acquiring more relevance in audiovisual production nowadays. These artists will be filling with its short and feature film, tv series, and other formats the audiovisual picture of the country.

Without any creative limitation, during the weekend of December 9 to 11, filmmakers from all over the country will be able to take to the streets or go into unexplored places to shoot their films. At our CityU headquarters in Bogotá, we wait for you to record your clapperboard, the official registration of the film, and then head out to Teatro La Media Torta for Noche Frankenstein Vol. 5, during which we will reveal the secret key, which must appear in the sequence shot. To those who cannot attend, we will send them the clapperboard and we will be expecting them on our virtual channels to reveal the key on December 11th.

Then they can start recording their short film, which must be sent to the organization no later than Sunday, December 11 at 11:59 p.m. Participants who successfully deliver their films (maximum 5 for each one), may participate for more than 7.000 USD in prizes, and may also opt for additional prizes by creating stories according to the conditions established in the categories sponsored by the Film Commission of Medellín, the Film Commission of Bogotá and BibloRed.
