ECFE Registration, Fees And Payments

Payments

Payments are due in full at the time of registration. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover or ACH Electronic Transfer for online registrations.

Canceled classes will not be refunded due to weather or staff professional development days. There are no refunds for family vacations or days missed due to family illness or extended leave of absence.

Refunds

Class refunds will be issued at 100% if registration is canceled before August 1, 2023. 85% will be refunded if canceled before September 1, 2023. 50% will be refunded if canceled September 1 - January 12, 2024. Cancellations after January 12, 2024, will be pro-rated. A $10 processing fee will be charged per refund.

Participant fees for most classes are on a sliding fee scale. No Minnesota family is excluded for inability to pay.

Preschool And Pre-Kindergarten

Preschool and pre-kindergarten programs provide a safe learning environment for students ages three to five years old. Your child will experience a variety of fun learning activities in science, art, dramatic play, music, language, literacy, large and small muscle development and more. Relationships and joyful learning are at the heart of all our work to help children develop critical-thinking skills, build confidence, grow socio-emotionally and to prepare for kindergarten entrance. Preschool – Registration Open Now!

Age 3

Our half-day, hands-on learning experience gives children the opportunity to begin practicing their social skills with peers, learn communication, literacy, math, fine and gross motor skills, art and dramatic play in a routine rich environment. Students must turn 3 years old by Sept 1.

Pre-Kindergarten

Age 4

Our half- and full-day options allow children to gain the skills they need to prepare for kindergarten through play. Children work on developing their school-readiness skills through interactions with peers, exploration, creativity and experimentation. Students must turn 4 years old by Sept 1.

Limited tuition assistance is available through the online registration process for families who qualify. Refunds: Registration fees for preschool and pre-kindergarten are non-refundable. Our District auditoriums are an excellent place for musical, dance and theatre performances, special events, seminars and trainings. With capacities ranging from 400-650 and close proximity to Interstate 694 or Highway 96, our auditoriums are the ideal location to host your event!

We have the lighting, sound and multimedia equipment to meet your group or organization’s needs. Our highly skilled staff will ensure your event is a success.

Mounds View Adult Education offers programs for adults to improve their skills so they can move ahead in their jobs, prepare for further education or improve their daily lives. Learn English, earn your high school diploma or GED and prepare for college or earn certifications for your next job.

Youth, Adult And Family Activities And Enrichment Registration

• Registration will open on Tue, Aug. 22 at 9 a.m.

• Participants should register for activities that serve the grade/age they will be in the fall of 2023.

• Registrations are accepted on a first-come/first-serve basis until a class is full.

• All course fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.

• You will receive an email confirmation and a reminder email before your Community Education program or camp begins.

Refunds, Changes, Deadlines & Cancellations

• Cancellations must be made at least seven days prior to the start of the activity to receive a refund. A $5 processing fee will be assessed to all cancellations $99 or less, a $10 processing fee will be accessed to all Cancellations $100 or more.

• There will be no cost adjustments for late registration or classes missed by a participant.

• Community education reserves the right to cancel a class. When cancellations occur, participants will be notified and a full refund will be issued.

• All Community Education activities are subject to changes and cancellations.

• Registration deadlines for most activities are one week prior to the start date.

• Classes fill quickly and instructors may need to order supplies.

• Classes may be canceled due to low enrollment, so please register early.

Youth Financial Assistance/ Educational Benefits Rates

Youth who are residing within the Mounds View Public Schools District boundaries and currently qualify for educational benefits are eligible for reduced fees for qualifying Youth Enrichment & Activities programs. Financial support is provided by the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf, the District Community Education Scholarship fund and other community donors. Qualifying enrichment and activities will have an Educational Benefits fee (EB fee) listed. If additional support is needed beyond the Educational Benefits rate, please call us at 651-621-6020.

Accommodation Needs

Individuals with accommodation needs are welcome in any activity and may bring a helper at no extra charge if needed. Please indicate needs when registering.

Most needed items include kid-friendly, easy-to-open foods for our District 621 Schooltrition programs for the 2023-24 school year: granola bars (peanut-free), fruit snacks, fruit cups, pudding cups, microwaveable meals, single-serve hot and cold cereal, crackers, etc. Donation drop-off hours are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to noon at our back entrance (2544 Mounds View Blvd. Mounds View, MN 55112).

Upcoming Events:

Thanksgiving for All Project – Thanksgiving bags with all the fixings will be distributed during the month of November. To sign up your family for holiday help, please call the food shelf during the month of November at 651-621-6280 or visit www.ralphreederfoodshelf.org for more information.

Operation Joy Toy Shop – If you need help providing holiday gifts for your children please register online at www.operationjoymn.org during the month of November. Donations of unwrapped toys or gifts can be dropped off at the Mounds View Community CenterDecember 1 through December 11.

Meals on Wheels has been an integral part of Mounds View Public Schools’ mission and commitment to serving adults in our community for nearly 50 years. It is more than just a meal; Meals on Wheels is a critical wellness visit by volunteers, a nutritious hot or frozen meal for homebound older and disabled adults, and a means of connecting older adults to other community services. Meals on Wheels is for older adults or certified disabled adults in need of help with meals, and is an ideal service to assist caregivers who may be hard-pressed finding time for meal preparation along with all their other responsibilities. Meals are affordably priced, and a sliding fee scale is available for those who qualify. You can also pay for Meals on Wheels with a credit or debit card or with your SNAP benefits.
