In the post-pandemic economy, it has been increasingly clear that the crucial challenge is to combine the fight against climate change and the improvement of people’s well-being. World leaders at the 2021 COP26 summit agreed to accelerate the fight against global warming, and the European Union placed climate change at the center of its Next Generation EU €750 billion stimulus plan.

Companies are driving this effort by setting carbon-reduction targets, and adopting the new technological solutions needed to achieve them.

Maire Tecnimont is the player of choice to accelerate the energy transition. We have strengthened our core set of skills as technologists, contractors and entrepreneurs, progressively expanding our field of action from the conventional natural resources to the green sector.

Our green chemistry company NextChem is playing a role in the energy transition as a partner and coordinator in several international networks and projects, by employing its portfolio of technologies to help plants reduce greenhouse gas emissions, implement chemical recycling of plastic waste, green ammonia, and low-carbon hydrogen production.
