Already since the announcement of its arrival at the Paris Motor Show last October, the new Jeep Avenger has captured the curiosity of many: from the press, which has given it major national and international awards, to the many Customers who have already chosen it. The reason for its success? We drove it and found more than one. First of all, judging from the comments collected at each stop, everyone likes it because of its compact dimensions (408 cm in length and a good 201 mm in ground clearance), sleek and clean lines, cutting-edge technology, and for the first time also available in a 100% electric version (already available in Autotorino branches). We sat behind the wheel at the official Autotorino Jeep dealership in Tavernerio, just outside Como, to try the Baby Jeep and discover its new driving feel. Specifically, we tried the 1.2 gasoline version with top-of-the-line Summit trim, which compared to the other two options-the entry-level Longitude and the intermediate Latitude adds cruise control with radar, electronic key for door opening and starting, rearview camera with parking sensors, assisted high beams, fog lights, 18'' wheels, heated seats and a hands-free opening tailgate. On the road it immediately proves pleasant and versatile to drive on different types of routes, thanks to the Selec-Terrain with six driving modes: Normal for everyday driving, Eco for saving energy, Sport for dynamic driving, Snow ideal on snowy tracks, Mud for muddy and Sand for sandy. It also confirms one of its strengths: the technology of driver-assistance systems that provide maximum safety, such as automatic emergency braking and driver fatigue detectorthe latter already available with the base trim. In short, Avenger is truly the Jeep that wasn't there, now 100% electric.
