Sustainability at Vista

President Bianca Passera:

Respect for people, commitment to community, transparency of business, zero waste, and care for resources and territory. This is not the list of dreams, hidden in the secret drawer, but just the reality of those who put the concept of sustainability at the center of their business. All guided by the "consistency that is one of the cornerstones of our way of doing business. Only by keeping these concepts in mind and holding them fixed as focal points can we grow in harmony." The words come from Bianca Passera, president of LarioHotels. And they are of very close relevance because Vista, the chain of 5-star luxury boutique hotels now present in Como and Verona, and all the other facilities of the LarioHotels Group, are linked by the concept, in fact, of sustainability. This is proven by the fact that only a few weeks ago the 2022 Impact and Sustainability Report, approved together with the Annual Report, was illustrated. As of 2021, in fact, the LarioHotels Group, owned by the Passera family, has officially become a Benefit Company, assuming an innovative and virtuous legal form that integrates in its corporate purpose, in addition to profit objectives, a positive impact on society and people, as well as on the environment. Among the main points of the 2022 Report, it emerges how a "solid relationship with employees has been created, thanks to initiatives aimed at ensuring greater inclusiveness, pay equity, and women's empowerment," Bianca Passera recounts. There are three, in brief, guidelines for action: the promotion of work as a source of social recognition, the desire to generate a positive impact on the local community, and the promotion of " well-intended tourism" that also offers opportunities for cultural enrichment for guests. "Aware precisely of the impact our actions have on the environment around us, we are committed to moving forward on the course that has guided us so far, maintaining the goal of economic growth and creating shared value," explains Bianca Passera. Among the goals set, the Group has already achieved one: Great Place to Work certification, entering the rankings of the best organizations to work for in Italy.
