When the weather allows in the wintertime, you can ski along skiing tracks on the ice of lake Päijänne to lean-tos on the Linkosaari and Pernasaari islands, or to Varjansaari island in lake Vesijärvi. You will find a resting place and a place to light a fire in all of these islands. ■
