ANANTAPUR CENTER FOR KIDS
The project is a minimal intervention on a children’s center located in Anantapur, India. The center is located in Kuderu, in the district of Anantapur. Kuderu is characterized by heavy rainfall from July to October -the average annual rainfall is 577.2 mm-. The temperature can become very high in some months. All these meteorological aspects have been taken into account for the improvement proposal.
The objective of the intervention is to act on the existing conditions to improve the overall quality of the space. The proposals focus on water management, thermal comfort and open spaces, among others. The interventions are small additions that can easily be made with local materials and techniques, and have a significant impact on the quality of the space offered.
The improvement proposals in the project are mainly based on interventions on the façade, roof, and exterior space.
