L’HOSPITAVERD URBAN CORRIDORS INTERVENTION

L’Hospitaverd is an urbanism project situated in Hospitalet, a vibrant city located in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, Spain. Hospitalet is known for its rich cultural heritage, diverse population, and dynamic urban environment. However, like many cities, it faces challenges related to urban congestion, limited green spaces, and a lack of pedestrian-friendly areas.

The purpose of the L’Hospitaverd project is to restructure the urban tissues of Hospitalet through acupunctural interventions, aiming to benefit the city’s inhabitants. The project seeks to create a more sustainable and livable urban environment by implementing strategic interventions that prioritize the insertion of green corridors and the enhancement of pedestrian-friendly spaces.

By introducing green corridors, the project aims to increase the presence of nature within the city, providing residents with access to green spaces for relaxation, recreation, and improved air quality. These green corridors will be carefully integrated into the existing urban fabric, creating a harmonious blend of nature and built environment.

The project will involve redesigning streets, sidewalks, and public spaces to prioritize the safety and comfort of pedestrians. By reducing car dependency and promoting walking, the project aims to create a healthier and more sustainable mode of transportation, while also fostering a sense of community and social interaction.
