WELCOME MESSAGE

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR Dear Colleague, I would like to personally invite you to attend our first virtual International Symposium on Liver and IBD Review scheduled for January 23, 2021. COVID-19 has captivated our lives and clinical practice for the last nine months, but we have learned to live with existing precautionary measures to keep ourselves, our families, staff, and patients safe and healthy. While the pandemic has forced us to change the usual format, we have designed a condensed program featuring both Canadian and International experts to offer us riveting, thought-provoking presentations on Liver and IBD that we feel will be beneficial to your practice. Our case-based presentations on both Liver and IBD promises to be once again lively and interactive. As with our Annual Conference in November, we will bring back our Virtual Networking Hall to allow you to interact, one on one, with our generous sponsors during our Coffee Breaks. Please take advantage of this opportunity. We also brought back the Mystery Box draw and encourage you to participate while spending time with our sponsors in the Virtual Networking Hall. Please register by the early bird deadline to guarantee receipt of your goodie bag for your Coffee Breaks. The Committee and I are excited about the program we have planned for you and look forward to seeing you in January! Warm regards, ONTARIO ASSOCIATION OF GASTROENTEROLOGY

NETWORKING HALL

Networking Hall

Networking Room Join

If you attended the Conference in November, you may have done this before, so it will be easier this time around. If this is your first time visiting the Networking Hall, not to worry, it is easier than you think! The Networking Hall is your opportunity to meet other attendees virtually face-to-face during the Virtual Networking Break. Inside the Symposium platform there will be multiple Networking rooms to choose from and once you join a room, you’ll be joining in on a Video Chat where you can meet delegates and sponsors. To make the best of your experience, we recommend turning on your web camera and ensuring you have a good microphone. Also take advantage of reviewing the materials that are posted by each sponsor in their respective booths. Most sponsors will have PDF versions of their materials, and some may post Raffles/Contests within their Booth, so be sure to visit all of them. Make an appointment in advance to meet with sponsors independently or within a group session during their “Open Hours”. Grab your beverage of choice (see delegate package) and join in on the networking!

SYMPOSIUM ACCREDITATION CONTINUING EDUCATION This event is an accredited group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College, approved by the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology.
