Distinguished Service Awards are handed out

The “Civic Affairs Award” will go to Rev. Pamela Bakal, rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Nutley.

Bakal is not only active in her church, she is devoted to countless organizations and causes in Nutley.

Bakal began her current position as rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Nutley in 1997. Serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Community School in Nutley, she is also active with the Nutley Senior Manor and the Nutley Clergy Fellowship.

On the Board of Trustees of Offender Aid and Restoration, Bakal is on the prison ministry committee of the Diocese of Newark. She is active with Nutley’s Warming and Cooling Center, Habitat for Humanity, the Blessing of Animals and the Blessing of Motorcycles and Chil- dren’s Visitation and Enrichment Program.
