INTERSTATE FAIR

The best way to celebrate the end of the summer, the Spokane County Interstate Fair returns for the 2023 season, kicking off September 8 and continuing through September 17. Whether you’re looking for carnival rides, entertainment, animals, exhibitors, or food, the Spokane Interstate Fair has it all. 2023 highlights include acts like Nelly and Cole Swindell live in concert, PRCA Rodeo Nights, Demo Derby, Cornhole Tournament, and Art Walk. WACANID RIDE

The WaCanId is an annual Rotariansupported bicycle tour taking cyclists on paved roads encircling the Selkirk Mountains of Washington, Canada and Idaho. During the six-day ride, cyclists will cover 395 miles, which showcases majestic mountains, beautiful lakes, rivers, and the world’s longest free scenic fairy. Valleyfest

Spokane Valley’s premier community event since 1990, the three-day celebration kicks off with the Hearts of Gold Parade on Friday. During the three-day festival, those young and old will be treated to fun outdoor activities, food, music, and other family friendly events, like the pancake breakfast, car show, fishing at the falls, dance competition and multi-cultural event ... there’s so much fun to be had! This all-ages event is held across three locations: CenterPlace Regional Event Center, Mirabeau Point Park and Plantes Ferry Sports Complex. Admission is free to attend. Valleyfest.org

SCARYWOOD HAUNTED NIGHTS

For the month of October, Silverwood Theme Park in Athol transforms from its happy summertime family destination into a nightmare that is sure to haunt you—Scarywood Haunted Nights. It’s Halloween all month long at Scarywood, which is transformed with its attractions and roaming monsters throughout the park. Ticketholders will have the chance to experience five haunted attractions, nine scare zones and most of Silverwood’s signature rides in the dark. Scarywood kicks off its 2023 season on Saturday, October 7, and continues every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night through October 28. Scarywood is not recommended for children 12 and younger.
