– Privacy for couples, families or small groups Great Plains Conservation's Zarafa Camp is Botswana's only member of Relais & Châteaux. Zarafa is found inside the 320,000 acre private Selinda Reserve in northern Botswana and is synonymous with exclusivity, opulence and wildlife. Sitting on an island in the floodplain of the Zibadianja Lagoon, the source of the Savute Channel, you find yourself in a prime wildlife-viewing area. Adventures in this vast region defy imagination. Each of the camp’s four immense marquis tent-suites are raised on wooden decks and shaded by a canopy of African ebony and red ivory trees. The Zarafa Dhow Suites consists of two large, Marquisstyle tents on a private deck overlooking the Zibadianja Lagoon, along with a private pool. The Dhow Suites are separate to the rest of Zarafa. Here the nightly rate includes the services of a private chef and private game drive vehicle with guide.

Potato Bush Camp

– Adjacent to its sister camp – world-renowned Sausage Tree Camp With a stunning panoramic view overlooking the Zambezi River and escarpment, this site is nestled under Mahogany, Sausage, Winter Thorn and Acacia Tortillas Trees, which provide excellent shade. Potato Bush Camp is comprised of three well-appointed canvas and rosewood safari tents and also a two-bedroom family tent (similar to the very popular Kigelia House at Sausage Tree Camp). Guests enjoy the open plan dining, bar and lounge area, accessed by each of the four tents by way of raised timber boardwalks. This also enables the camp to stay open from the 1st of April through to early January when the camp closes for the peak of the rainy season.

Wilderness Safaris Little Makalolo Camp

– In one of Hwange National Park’s best wildlife viewing areas Wilderness Safaris Little Makalolo Camp offers privacy for guests who enjoy small camps and a sense of remoteness. The area is ecologically diverse, ensuring great numbers of animals year-round. The camp’s six spacious ensuite tents, with both indoor and outdoor showers, are nestled in the tree line. Teak walkways lead to the main area where a Mopane tree shades the dining and living area. During siesta hours, guests can enjoy outstanding wildlife viewing at the log pile hide that overlooks the waterhole in front of camp. Activities center on game drives in open Land Rovers and guided walks. The area’s many waterholes attract game in both quantity and variety throughout the year.

Ongava Tented Camp

– Ongava Game Reserve borders Etosha National Park Tucked into a hidden valley at the foot of a dolomite hill is where you will find Ongava Tented Camp. Eight tents are Meru-style all with ensuite facilities, open air showers and private veranda. The family unit sleeps four. The main area fronts onto a much-frequented waterhole. Watching wildlife coming to drink from here or the swimming pool is a favorite past time. Ongava's proximity to Etosha allows for game drives in the national park and on the Ongava Reserve itself. Other possibilities include game walks, birding and spending time in hides. Ongava holds one of the largest rhino custodianships for the Namibian government in the country and offers white and black rhino sightings.
