Kwando Nxai Pan

– The only permanent camp situated within the Nxai Pan National Park Each of the camp's eight rooms has a low wooden veranda offering perfect views of the permanent waterhole frequented by elephants, jackals and guinea fowl. The bright and spacious rooms are built from a specially selected material which keeps them warm in winter and cool in summer and linked to the main area by a slightly raised walkway, lit with lanterns by night. Wildlife is in abundance year-round, and during the rainy season Nxai Pan is a bird watchers paradise. As well as game drives, nature walks lead by bushmen and star gazing, guests enjoy the day trip to see the famous Baine’s Baobabs – majestic, sentinels standing tall.

San Camp

– One of the most romantic camps in Africa Completely rebuilt in 2011, the camp’s six white tents stand majestically on the edge of the endless Makgadikgadi Salt Pans of Botswana. The central dining tent houses a small library and natural history museum filled with fascinating artifacts. Guests can relax, unwind and retreat in the yoga and meditation pavilion. Activities on offer include interacting with habituated meerkats, walking with Bushmen, joining game drives to experience fascinating desert wildlife – such as brown hyenas, aardwolves and aardvarks – visiting Chapman’s Baobab, and quad-biking across the pans. San Camp operates from 16 April to 15 October each year.
