– Classic safari simplicity From July to mid-November, find yourself less than a mile from the Mara River and a stone’s throw from the time-worn crossing points that the herds return to annually. Watching the animals explode across the water is deeply thrilling: the dust, their thundering noise and their energy against the current; the crocodiles. In mid-December, the set up is on the southernmost plains with access to acres of acaciadotted conservation area – idyllic for walking safaris. To the south is Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe and Ndorobo guides who have centuries of bush craft at their fingertips. The plains literally come to life for the birthing season with millions of wildebeest seeking out the fresh green grass that follows the first rains, and birthing their young. Six tents blend colonial camping style with elegant accents of comfort. Each tent is complemented by tasteful décor that lends a touch of "sumptuousness" to your stay. The ensuite bathrooms include a bucket shower and a flushing toilet – classic safari simplicity with a nod to life’s little comforts.

This is a newly built camp, situated in a prime location in the southeastern corner of Hwange National Park, overlooking a pan that is a magnet for game across all seasons. The fresh open-airy design of the camp is complemented by an eclectic mix of contemporary interiors. Eight luxurious ensuite tents all offer uninterrupted views of the waterhole. Activities include day and night game drives, walks and local village visits.
