Mr. Sims was happily wedded to Ms. Alexia Cadle on April 1, 2023 They honeymooned in Tanzania and they reside in Columbia, SC with their dog.

Director, TMO Portfolio Lead

Sean Sims serves as a Director on Unum’s Transformation Management Team within the Finance organization. In this capacity, he provides portfolio management support to Unum’s U.S. Transformation Portfolio across all brands.

Prior to joining Unum Group, Sims was Portfolio Manager, Division of Information Technology for the University of South Carolina.

Previously, he worked for Booz Allen Hamilton a consulting firm in Washington D.C. There he served as Strategy Manager and Co-chair of Professional Development for the African American employee resource group.

Mr. Sims holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC and a Master’s in Science, Technology, and International Development from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. In addition, he holds various certifications from Northwestern, Cornell, and The George Washington University.
