LARKSDALE NATIVE Jason Pollan is a Partner in Pollan Dobbs in Jackson, specializing in civil and individual rights and represents injured workers with workers compensation and healthcare rights

claims. He earned a BA in political science and philosophy from Mississippi State University in 1997, and his JD from Tulane Unversity School of Law in 2001. He has been a lobbyist for AARP, the Mississippi Center for Justice and Mississippi Associaton for Justice.

He was honored as Advocate of the Year by the Mississippi Coalition for Citizens with Disabilities in 2008. Pollan’s says his most significant accomplishment was conducting the only 82-county investigation in Mississippi of Medicaid’s new, annual inperson renewal requirements for the elderly, disabled, and poor children. His report lead to legislative testimony that the office of Medicaid had curtailed or closed offices and accessibility, which was increasing administrative costs for the state by $50 million while removing approximately 80,000 people who were properly enrolled in the system.
