In a bid to gather background information for his latest novel, author Charles Condomine invites the delightfully eccentric medium Madame Arcati to stage a séance. Whilst trances and supernatural manifestations prove entertaining for Charles, his wife Ruth, the sceptical Dr Bradman and the wide-eyed and excitable Mrs Bradman, events take an unexpected and hilarious turn when Charles is faced with the ghost of his first wife, Elvira. Is Charles’ life in danger? Will his wives ever stop bickering with him? Can Madame Arcati save the day? Come along to find out…

On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed bachelor Robert contemplates his unmarried state. Over the course of a series of dinners, drinks and even a wedding, his friends explain the pros and cons of taking on a partner/spouse. The habitually single Robert is forced to question his adamant retention of bachelorhood during an hilarious array of interactions. Company features a brilliantly brisk and energetic score containing many of Stephen Sondheim’s best-known songs. The strength of the piece lies in its vivid yet real characters. Every audience member will see reflections of themselves in at least one of the characters onstage. Originally produced and directed on Broadway by Harold Prince. This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
