The George W. Bush Presidency Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday March 24, 25, 26, 2015 Hofstra University is pleased to announce that its 12th presidential conference, The George W. Bush Presidency, will take place March 24-26, 2015. Beginning in 1982 with an examination of the presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Hofstra’s presidential conferences have brought together scholars, journalists, former government officials and, in some cases, the former presidents themselves to discuss the president’s campaign, political leadership, policy agenda, and legacy. The University has published proceedings from every conference, which have become standard scholarly volumes and serve as early oral histories of each presidency. CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS: • Commentary by more than two dozen former administration officials on key issues in political leadership, domestic, economic, and foreign policy, political communication, and more in the George W. Bush presidency. • Commentary by journalists and scholars on these topics. • More than 50 scholarly paper presentations from several disciplines, including political science, history, and communication. • Hofstra University Museum presents, “The George W. REGISTRATION FEES All fees include coffee breaks, shuttle between hotels (the Long Island Marriott and LaQuinta Inn only) and exhibition reception. Regular (3 days) $75 Daily Rate (Indicate day - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) $30 Hofstra alumnus/alumna (3 days) Senior Citizen (over 65 with ID) (3 days) Matriculated non-Hofstra student with ID (3 days) or PEIR (3 days) $50 Daily Rate (Indicate day - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) $25 All events, with the exception of the receptions are free to pre-registered Hofstra students, faculty, staff and retirees with current HofstraCard. Free admission to conference events cannot be extended to family and friends of members of the Hofstra community. Registration fees are applicable.
