Lightopia

The City of Hillsboro was proud to bring Lightopia—an illuminated journey—to the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex this past holiday season. This brilliant one-third of a mile drive-through attraction featured thousands of lights along with seasonal light vignettes ranging from funny and familiar (think: Santa’s elves) to dazzling that delighted folks young and old. With nearly 20,000 households receiving free tickets, we estimate Lightopia’s attendance will exceed 80,000 community members from all over Oregon and SW Washington.
