BRENHAM – Brenham Lodge will hold its Christmas party on Saturday, Dec. 4, starting at 4 p.m. A catered meal will be served and Santa is scheduled to attend. Music will be provided by Allison Crowson and band.

The Nov. 12 meeting included a meal of fried turkey prepared by lodge President James Hyvl. Traditional dressing was prepared by Jeanette Preuss and Judy Baichtal with many sides and desserts provided by members.

Prior to the meeting the veterans in attendance were recognized along with members celebrating a November birthday.

The 2022 officers will include James Hyvl, president; Gary Falkenberg, vice president and communications coordinator; Lena Mae Goessler, secretary/ treasurer; and Karl Goessler who will serve another three years as financial trustee.

Delores Gaskamp and Doris Falkenberg will serve as the lodge’s delegates to the Convention Assembly in May 2022.

The first meeting of the new year will be held Friday, Jan. 14. The meal will be chili with sides. Members are asked to bring desserts.

Poth Lodge recognizes campership recipients

POTH – Poth Lodge honored the recipients of its camperships at the Nov. 7 meeting. Damarcus and Jadyn Scott talked about their Camp experiences and said they were eager to go again next year.

Welcomed as new members were Stella Marie Pacini and Kaitlyn Nayeli-Ann Cortez.

Victor Walzel was welcomed by way of transfer.

James and Henrietta Lowak presented the lodge with a United States flag and portable flagpole.

A moment of silence was observed in memory of Rosalie Kasper.

Members agreed to present McDonald’s gift cards to the dance students, their teacher and parent liaison.

The door prize winners were Pat Lowak and Victor Walzel.

Three names were drawn to win the kitty but Cole D. Reed, Dennis L. Arnold and Madeline J. Boening were not in attendance. The amount will be increased by $2 for the next drawing.

Louise Schuetze plans Christmas party for Dec. 13

SAN ANTONIO – Louise Schuetze Lodge will celebrate Christmas on Dec. 13 in the lodge hall.

Everyone is asked to bring their favorite finger food or dessert.

Members also are asked to bring a wrapped gift valued at $10-$15 for the gift exchange.

Members enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner when they met Nov. 8 in the Rathskeller.

The 2021 officers will serve again in 2022.

Prinz Solms to hold party Dec. 12

BULVERDE – Prinz Solms Lodge will hold its joint Christmas party with Spring Branch Lodge on Sunday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. at the Bulverde Community Center. Students from the Hill Country School of Dance will perform.

Members heard a presentation from Christine Taylor at the November meeting.

She talked about her family history and her grandmother’s house in Germany. Her family survived the turmoil leading up to World War II, the war and the Berlin Wall. The presentation gave everyone an insight into the struggles of the people during that time.

The 2022 officers were elected and will be President Cliff Klabunde, Vice President Teresa Saathoff, Secretary/Treasurer Tom Pardue; and Trustees Russell Boss, Warren Scholz and Nolan Wehe. Coordinators will be Youth, Audrey Klabunde; Membership, Doug Klabunde; Community, Jackie Oldfield and Communications, Tom Pardue.

Delegates were elected for the 2022 Convention Assembly.

Jackie Oldfiled announced that S.T.A.G.E., the local dinner theater, will present “A Tuna Christmas” on Dec. 3.

Members enjoyed Bill Miller turkey plates with pecan and pumpkin pie for dessert.

Helotes will meet Dec. 14

HELOTES – Helotes Lodge will hold its final meeting of 2021 on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. at Braun Hall.

A meal will be provided.

Cibolo plans holiday party for Dec.11

SAN ANTONIO – The Cibolo Lodge Christmas party is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 11. The evening begins with a cocktail hour from 4:30–6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. followed by bingo.

There will be an ugly sweater contest with prizes of $25, $15 and $10. If anyone is interested contact one of the officers.

Smoked turkey from Bill Miller Barbecue was the main course for the Thanksgiving meal served at the November meeting.

The sides included turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, several corn dishes, sweet rice, squash and cucumber salad just to name a few. The corn in the crock pot that Gail Gray brought was voted the best side dish.

Desserts included molasses cookies, apple strudel, rice pudding and blueberry zucchini bread. Joy Brown’s blueberry zucchini bread was voted best dessert.

Welcomed as new members were junior Presleigh Layton Painter and adults Christian Hernandez, Leon Hernandez Jr. and Debbie Lynn Hernandez.

The 2021 officers were all re-elected to another term for 2022.

New Bielau donates

WEIMAR – New Bielau Lodge recently made two donations.

In observance of Make a Difference Day, the lodge made a donation to the Weimar Food Pantry.

The lodge also donated to the Retirement Home Christmas Fund.

Because of the pandemic, the lodge did not meet in 2021.

SAN ANTONIO – The officers of Anton Wenzel Lodge hope that all members are doing well.

Bernardo Lodge to present pins at party on Dec. 8

BERNARDO – Bernardo Lodge will hold its Christmas social and meeting on Dec. 8. Membership pins will be presented.

The lodge will be providing turkey, dressing and all the trimmings. Members are asked to bring desserts.

The happy hour will start at 6 p.m. and the meal will be served at 7 p.m. There will be a free will donation with proceeds going to the food bank in Columbus.

The lodge will be delivering poinsettias to members residing in nursing homes.

The Nov. 17 meeting was held in the Bernardo Volunteer Fire Department meeting room.

Agent Terrel Maertz reminded members to recommend new members to him or Robin Maertz.

The 2022 officers were elected by acclamation. Marilyn Harbich has accepted a trustee position.

Robin Maertz began a discussion on local organizations to which the lodge could make donations. Members will continue the discussion at the January meeting and are asked to bring with them a list of organizations.

ROSENBERG – Rosenberg-Richmond Lodge will meet Dec. 13. Turkey and dressing will be served and members will play games.

Members are asked to bring food donations for Helping Hands.

Members attending the Nov. 8 meeting enjoyed a meal featuring enchilada casserole. Fred Maynard and Calvin Lamensky were in charge of the kitchen. Margie Krenek gave the blessing.

Loyce Anderson will be the lodge’s delegate to the Convention Assembly in May. Billy Benton is the alternate.

Calvin Lamensky will serve as president again in 2022. Other officers will be Fred Maynard, vice president; Michael Kassey, Finance Committee; and John Pavlock, trustee.

Community Coordinator William Benton reported that the Channel 13 Food Drive will be Dec. 1. The lodge will help purchase food.

All veterans were asked to stand and were thanked for their service.

A moment of silence was observed in memory of members who had passed since the last meeting.

Membership Coordinator Rosalie Byrd reported that sympathy cards had been sent to the families of W. Lee Schmidt, Anna Meyer, Wayne Galler, Alvis Schmidt, Victor Zdunkewicz, Marjorie Engelhardt, Dorothy Hafer and Judy Macura.

Get well cards were sent to Florence Orsak, Eppie Kostak, John Pavlock and Cathy Winsor.

Attendance prizes were won by Lavonne Stavinoha, Aimee Barcak, Malcolm Krause, Robbie Hartfiel and Ivan Richter.

Rutersville Christmas party set for Dec. 4

RUTERSVILLE – Rutersville Lodge will meet Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. Members will be decorating the hall for Christmas. Everyone is asked to bring sandwiches or cold cuts.

The Christmas party will be held Saturday, Dec. 4. A fried chicken meal will be served. Members are asked to bring chips, dips or dessert. Santa will be there with goody bags for the children.

Brian Mueller prepared the chili and chili dogs for the November meeting. Members brought side dishes and desserts.

The current officers will serve again in 2022.

Sherry Noak will be the lodge’s delegate to the Convention Assembly in May.

A sympathy card was sent to the Leah Tietjen family.

Kerrville will elect officers, present pins on Dec. 10

KERRVILLE – Kerrville Lodge will hold its Christmas party on Friday, Dec. 10, at The Hill Country Veterans Center, 411 Meadowview, Kerrville, beginning at 6:30 p.m. A catered meal will be served. There will be prizes and a short business meeting.

The meeting will include the election of officers. If you are interested in serving as an officer, contact one of the current officers.

Membership pins will be presented. Pin recipients are encouraged to attend.

The meeting dates for 2022 are Feb. 2, April 6, June 1, Aug. 3, Oct. 5 and Dec. 2. They will be held at the Hill Country Veterans Center unless otherwise noted

Plum will install officers Jan. 10

PLUM – Plum Lodge has decided not to meet in December and not to have a Christmas party because of the ongoing pandemic.

The lodge did meet Nov. 8 at the Prairie Valley School House.

The 2022 officers were elected. After many years of service, Wallace Hobratschk has resigned as financial secretary. Pam Matula was elected to take his place.

Other elected officers remain the same including President Wilbert Hoffmann, Vice President Wallace Hobratschk and Secretary Jackie Wessels.

Officers will be installed at the Jan. 10 meeting.

McGREGOR – McGregor Lodge will meet Dec. 1 at the McGregor General Store beginning at 6 p.m. The meal and gifts will be provided.

Members enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal at the Nov. 3 meeting also held at the McGregor General Store. Thanks go to Teresa Sneed and Doris Mooney for preparing the meal.

The 2021 Humanitarian Award was presented to David and Tammy Lillard. Tammy works at Heart of Texas Coop for exceptional children as a speech language pathologist. She works at the McGregor Primary School. David and Tammy are very active with the Rhett Revolution, Archway of Hope and the McGregor Food Pantry. Tammy is on the board.

David works for Malin Integrated Handling Solutions. He’s on the McGregor Planning and Zoning Committee, McGregor School Board of Trustees and the board of Rocket Federal Credit Union. He enjoys being a baseball and softball coach for McGregor Youth and coached Little Dribblers.

Tammy helps in all sports. They enjoy working with children and their parents.

Congratulations are extended to Sue Bullington on her 50 years of membership. She joined Nov. 2, 1971. Mark Symank has been a member for 60 years. He joined on Nov. 1, 1961.

A donation was made to the McGregor Food Pantry’s November Food Drive.

Sympathy is extended to the Cindy Sanders Stone family following the passing of her husband, James Stone.

Hochheim-Prairie elects delegates

No meeting will be held in December

YOAKUM – Hochheim-Prairie Lodge will not meet in December.

The lodge honored its veterans at the Nov. 7 meeting. In attendance were Wilburn Pargmann, James Nolte, John Langhoff and Charlie Hoepfl.

In observance of Make a Difference Day, the lodge made a $200 donation to the Yoakum Food Pantry.

The 2022 officers will be President Janet Zabransky, Vice President Roberta Wenzel, Corresponding/Financial Secretary Carolyn Hoepfl, Treasurer Wilburn Pargmann and financial trustees, Charlie Hoepfl, Debbie Zinke and Joyce Word.

The lodge’s delegates to the 2022 Convention Assembly will be Janet Zabransky, Roberta Wenzel, Carolyn Hoepfl, Wilburn Pargmann and Debbie Zinke. SEGUIN – Laubach Lodge will hold its Christmas party on Sunday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. at the Rocket Wings/Dixie Grill in Seguin. The meal will be provided. At the Sept. 12 meeting, the lodge presented the 2021 Humanitarian Award to Pastors Dave and Sonja Phillips from Friedens United Church of Christ.

Mission-Alamo elects officers, delegates

SAN ANTONIO – Mission-Alamo Lodge elected its 2022 officers and its delegates to the 2022 Convention Assembly at the October meeting.

The 2022 officers will be Diane Cline, president; Joyce Kneupper, vice president; Denise Wright, recording secretary; Carol Swan, financial secretary; J.R. Kneupper, Jack Larned and Dorothy Breezee, trustees; and John Hall, Kathy Wilson and Lillie Mae Dienger, Finance Committee members.

The delegates to the Convention Assembly will be Carol Swan, Jack Larned, Joyce Kneupper and Diane Cline.

Welcomed as new members were Emma Rose Posey, Kennedy Grace Posey, Sandra Kay Germer and Landon Henry Lyssy.

Sympathy was expressed to the family of Dorothy Koerber who passed away June 30, 2021, at the age of 93.

She had been a member for 69 years.

The lodge will not meet again until January.

New Braunfels plans meal

NEW BRAUNFELS – New Braunfels Lodge members will enjoy a catered meal at the Christmas party in December.

Two new members were welcomed at the November meeting.

Also welcomed were guest Dorothy Schneider from Cibolo Lodge and her daughter, Connie Krause, who has transferred from Cibolo to New Braunfels.

The 2022 officers were elected and delegates to the 2022 Convention Assembly were selected.

Members mourned the passing of Ronald Hanz.

Rennie Guenther received his 60-year membership pin.

Attendance prizes went to Dennis Schwab, Dorothy Moose, Tommy Daum, Leola Stolte, Rennie and Sandra Guenther, Delbert and Violet Tanneberger, Dorothy Schneider, Shirley Huebinger, Virginia Vetter and Lenora Mueller.

A fried chicken supper, hosted by Jerome and Virginia Vetter, was served after games and refreshments.

Delbert and Violet Tanneberger celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in November. They are members of New Braunfels Lodge.

Fort Worth will gather Dec. 5 at bistro

FORT WORTH - The quarterly meeting of Fort Worth Lodge will be held Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. at Sammy’s Italian Bistro at 225 Exchange St, Burleson.

Members are invited to enjoy food and fellowship. The lodge will provide the meal. A short business meeting will be held before the meal. The 2022 officers will be elected and a delegate to the 2022 Convention Assembly will be chosen. Membership pins also will be presented.

Members are welcome to bring a guest who may be interested in joining.

In observance of Make A Difference Day, a donation was delivered to the Children’s Advocacy Center in Cleburne. The lodge will support a family from the center at Christmas.

Reaching their 50-year membership milestone with the lodge are Christopher Sievers and Leanne Sievers. They both became members Dec. 6, 1971.

Cat Spring plans turkey dinner for Dec. 9

CAT SPRING – Cat Spring Lodge mourns the loss of two long-time members, Wilfred Eckardt and Gene Wittenburg.

The lodge will meet Thursday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. at the Agricultural Lodge in Cat Spring. A turkey and dressing dinner will be served and members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.

A social time will be enjoyed prior to the meal and several members will receive their membership pins.

In lieu of a gift exchange, monetary donations will be made to a charity supported by the Humanitarian Award recipient who will be announced that evening.

Former members of Nagel Lodge are reminded that Nagel Lodge has been merged with Cat Spring Lodge and they are invited to attend the meeting.

BOERNE – Boerne Lodge will hold its Christmas party on Friday, Dec. 3, at 12 noon at the Rainbow Senior Center at Kronkosky Place. A catered entree will be provided and members are asked to bring an appetizer or side dish to share.

At the Nov. 5 meeting, Ana Vasquez, compliance director at the Home Office and member of Boerne Lodge, presented Lloyd Markell with his 75-year membership pin and James Meckel with his 70-year pin.

Deborah Martin, a third-generation member of Siemering Lodge, was present to see her father, Lloyd Markell, receive his pin.

Ana also presented the 2021 Humanitarian Award to Barbara D’Spain.

Barbara has given many hours of volunteer service to the Rainbow Senior Center at Kronkosky Place. She is a member of the On-Site Council whose members are responsible for helping raise money for the Center through a thrift shop, bake sales, silent auctions, card sales, raffles and a Christmas Shop which Barbara is currently chairman of. She also volunteered at the front desk one day a week assisting the receptionist in various ways such as greeting members and guests, answering the phone, taking messages, filing and other clerical jobs. During the early days of COVID-19 she helped work a phone bank to schedule vaccinations.

She has been president of Boerne Lodge for five years and serves as the communications coordinator and reporter.

During the peak of COVID-19 she would contact members to check on their well-being, schedule them for vaccinations if they needed one and to inform them of lodge news since they were unable to attend meetings.

Donald and Barbara D’Spain will be the lodge’s delegates to the Convention Assembly in May.

The 2021 officers were re-elected to another term in 2022.

Members agreed to make a $200 donation to the Retirement Home Christmas Fund. Donations make it possible to purchase a special gift or item for the Home that can be used by all resident members.

Members also agreed to make a $250 donation to the Kendall County Junior Livestock Show that will be held in January. The annual livestock show and sale benefits youth as they work toward their higher educational goals.

Get well wishes are extended to Jack Faecher who has been having some health issues the past few months.

Alice Quinn was wished a Happy Birthday in December.

The next regular meeting will be held Jan. 7.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Corpus Christi Lodge will hold its Christmas party Saturday, Dec. 11, at Southern Charms. Those planning to attend are asked to contact President Cheryl Garcia at 361-726-7861 no later than Dec. 9.

The November meeting was held at Miller’s BBQ.

Vice President of Sales Robin Czarnek presented Pearl Hunt with a certificate in recognition of her years of service as a field agent.

Robin also presented Dorothy Lawler and Richard Roberson with their 60-year membership pins.

The 2022 officers were elected. Cheryl Garcia will remain as president and Kerry Ginn as vice president. The new financial secretary is Debbie Mazur and recording secretary will be longtime member Darlette Brandon.

Members voted to donate the 2021 50/50 raffle earnings to the Rainbow Room, which serves women and children. – Reporter

DEANVILLE – Deanville Lodge honored its membership pin recipients at the Oct. 31 meeting.

Vice President of Operations Samantha Schulmeier Kelley was there to present the pins. She was accompanied by husband Jonathan.

Receiving their pens were James Fritsche, a 70-year member, and Gladna Helton, a 60year member.

In observance of Make a Difference Day, the lodge made donations to Caldwell Christian Care, the Caldwell Boys and Girls Club and St. Joseph Manor.

The lodge has received its matching funds from the Home Office for the fund-raiser held in September in support of the Brazos Valley Hospice.

President Donnie Blinka stated that the drink stand at the recent fire department fund raiser was profitable and thanked everyone who helped.

Secretary Marsha Kocurek has applied for a grant for additional repairs to the hall.

LOCKHART – Lockhart Lodge will hold its Christmas party Dec. 5. Membership pins will be presented and the Humanitarian of the Year will be honored.

The Nov. 7 meeting was held at Smitty’s Market.

Danny and Barbara Buckner and Tammy Kreuz have transferred to Lockhart Lodge from Niederwald Lodge.

A moment of silence was observed in memory of Clinton Newman who passed away Sept. 6 at the age of 39. President Nicky Duewall read a note thanking the lodge for the donation to the Retirement Home in his memory.

She also read a note thanking the lodge for its donation to the Retirement Home Christmas Fund.

In observance of Make A difference Day, Nancy Hess presented the lodge’s donation to the Golden Age Home’s 60th anniversary celebration.

The current officers will serve again in 2022.

Ann Schroeder and Ray Pfefferkorn will be the lodge’s delegates to the Convention Assembly in May 2022.

Donations were approved to the Salvation Army and the Caldwell County Christian Ministries Food Pantry.

Janice Kuhen was congratulations on her induction into the State Bowling Tournament Hall of Fame and for finishing first in women’s singles in this summer’s tournament.

COMFORT – Comfort Lodge members elected the 2022 officers when they met Oct. 11 at the VFW Hall in Comfort.

They will be President Hunter Miller, Vice President Pamela Nentwich, Corresponding Secretary Kristen Vineyard, Financial Secretary Katie Miller and trustees C.B. Chenault, Brandon Cernosek and David Spenrath.

Appointed officers are Communications Coordinator Katie Miller, Community Service Coordinator Jennifer Cernosek, Youth Coordinator Pamela Nentwich and Membership Coordinator Norma Bruns.

Members voted not to hold a Christmas party this year. Instead, members decided to donate $1,500 to both the Comfort Golden Age Center and Comfort Table/Food Pantry. In addition, $500 will be given to the Comfort School of Dance to help offset costs for the costumes for the spring recital.

Members enjoyed a pizza meal followed by the business meeting.

The next meeting is scheduled to be held on Monday, Feb. 14, at the VFW Hall in Comfort.

Dunlay sets party for Dec. 13

DUNLAY – Dunlay Lodge is inviting all of its members and other area Hermann Sons Life members to attend the lodge Christmas party and pin presentation set for 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13.

A meal of tamales, rice and beans will be provided after which the pin presentations will take place.

White Elephant items should be brought for the customary gift swap.

San Marcos collecting food

SAN MARCOS – San Marcos Lodge will hold its Christmas party on Sunday, Dec. 12, starting at 2 p.m. at the Zorn Bowling Club.

Adults are welcome to bring a gift valued at $10 for the gift exchange. Each family is encouraged to bring a gift for their own child to receive during the gift exchange.

Games will be played during the afternoon followed by a turkey dinner to be catered by Bill Miller’s.

Everyone is encouraged to bring nonperishable food for donation to the San Marcos Food Bank.

The November meeting was held via Zoom.

The lodge’s known active members who served in the military were recognized. They are Billy Preuss, Ken Cargil, Bruce Moreau, Bob Robbins, Marshall McQuaig and Marshall Smith.

Also, in honor of Veteran’s Day, President Agnes Dreibrodt read a poem titled “Red, White and Blue.”

The Cheer Committee reported sending sympathy cards to the Roy Acrey family and Wayne Roach family. Roy lost his father and Wayne lost his brother.

Officers elected by acclamation were Agnes Dreibrodt, president; Shirley Faske , vice president; and Janet Magin, financial trustee.

Janice Kuhen will be the lodge’s delegate to the 2022 Convention Assembly.

Agnes Dreibrodt is an automatic delegate since she serves on the Laws Committee and Shirley Faske is an automatic delegate since she serves on the Member Benefits Committee.

“Happy Birthday” was sung to Mary Jane Smith. Florence McQuaig, Howard Magin and Tammy Manning.

This month’s attendance prize winners were Mary Lou Preuss and Shirley Faske.

DaCosta Lodge elects officers for 2022

DACOSTA – DaCosta Lodge elected the 2022 officers at the Nov. 9 meeting.

They are Sayra Boop, president; Tommy West, vice president; corresponding secretary, Tessia Stastny; Pam Elkins, trustee and Sarah Pribyl and Tommy West, Finance Committee.

Giddings to present Humanitarian Award

GIDDINGS – Giddings Lodge will hold its December meeting at the Santa Fe Steak House. The local nursing centers will be presented with the Humanitarian Award for 2021.

Members are mourning the passing of Treasurer Cecilia Martinez. Cecilia was known as one of the best cooks and cake bakers in Lee County.

The November meeting featured a Thanksgiving meal catered by Next Door Catering of Seguin. Members provided the desserts.

Vice President of Sales Robin Czarnek attended the meeting and presented membership pins. Ralph and Herman Wolf and Richard Geyer received their 75-year pins and Albert Ranzau III received his 60-year pin.

Members mourned the passing of several members. Glen Roy Phillips passed away Sept. 9, at the age of 82. He had been a member since 1955. Collis W. Markt passed away on Sept. 15 at the age of 90. He had been a member since 1952. Scott C. Reinhard passed away on Sept. 17 at the age of 49. He had been a member since 1972. Dennis Drake Mays passed away on Oct. 7 at the age of 71. He had been a member since 1993. Vernon Lloyd Helmke passed away on Oct. 24 at the age of 90. He had been a member since 1958. Mike Beam, a past president and Finance Committee member, presented the 2020 Humanitarian of the Year Award to Past President Bill Richard. Albert Ranzau stressed the fact that due to the initial efforts of Bill Richard, the Home Association taxes were reduced by a large amount, allowing the continued renovation of the building, including the bowling alleys.

Celebrating November birthdays were Stan Steiger, Mike Gumpp, Bill Witteman and John Gianotti.

The cash attendance prizes were won by David Strahan and Albert Ranzau and the splitthe-pot money went to Rene Kraus.

Veterans were honored at the Nov. 11 meeting of Harmonia Lodge.

Old Glory will celebrate Christmas on Dec. 12

OLD GLORY – Old Glory Lodge will celebrate Christmas on the second Sunday in December, Dec. 12, instead of the usual first Sunday. The meeting begins at 4 p.m.

Turkey and the trimmings will be furnished. Members are asked to bring desserts and side dishes.

The lodge met Nov. 7. A moment of silence was observed in memory of deceased members.

Diane Smith will be the lodge’s delegate to the Convention Assembly in May 2022.

The 2022 officers will be Diane Smith, president; Mike Baldree, vice president; Brenda Vahlenkamp, secretary; Marvin Vahlenkamp, treasurer; Terry Letz and Darrell Richards, trustees; and Don Pyron and Carm Letz, finance committee. Pat Pyron was appointed reporter.

Trustee Terry Letz gave an update on the needed repairs to the dance floor.

Don Pyron won the door prize.

It was reported that the sausage supper in October was a success.

Bexar collecting socks at holiday party on Dec. 4

SAN ANTONIO – Bexar Lodge will hold its Christmas party on Dec. 4 at the Paul Vogt Lodge Hall, 8793 Dietz Elkhorn Road, Boerne, from 4-9 pm. Country Christmas is the theme for this year’s party.

Everyone is invited to dress accordingly and come to enjoy the games, raffles both big and small, a performance by the Northwest School of Dance students, a dinner of chicken fried chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes and a visit from the man in red himself!

The lodge will be hosting a sock drive to benefit Inner Youth Development and asks all guests to bring a pair of socks to share the love and help the lodge reach its donation goal of 100 pairs.

The 2022 officers will be elected. Anyone wishing to seek an office is welcome.

Members will be admitted free; non-member adults will pay $10 and juniors (3-12) will pay $5. The lodge’s officers plan to attend the celebration of life for Beverly Hutzler, hosted by her family, on Dec. 12 from 2-4 p.m. at The Hampton Inn and Suites of Boerne.

Beverly was a force for change in Bexar Lodge and her community at large, often volunteering at her local retirement home and with the Ronald McDonald House. She was a kind, strong woman who used her talents to uplift, aid and inspire others.

Her family asks all those who wish to attend to RSVP to 214437-4908 and to wear casual attire.
