Cheat Sheets Program & Training Box Kits We offer ready-to-go kits for Girl Scout meetings and events! The kits can be checked out for two weeks. Most require a $10 deposit, which will be refunded when the kit is returned in good condition with a roster of girls served by the kit. Contact your regional leadership and learning specialist to make a reservation.

GirlSports and Fitness (Daisy Brownie, Junior) Explore sports and learn about female athletes! Girls will learn ways to keep their bodies in shape and active.

Girl Scout Basics (Daisy, Brownie, Junior) This kit is perfect for the first-time leader or as your troop bridges up to a new level. Work with your girls to learn the fundamentals of Girl Scouts and what is special and unique about each age level.

Girl Scout History (Daisy, Brownie, Junior) Help girls discover the rich history of Girl Scouts’ first 100 years through hands-on activities and cool facts.

New in 2012! Knot-Tying Knots can be used for a variety of camp needs such as tying up a sleeping bag or putting up a clothesline. Knowing how to tie knots and what each is used for is important. This kit includes directions with pictures and knot-tying cords to practice two basic knots before going on a camping trip.

New in 2012! Letterboxing Letterboxing is an intriguing pastime that combines navigational skills and rubber stamp artistry in a fascinating “treasure hunt” style outdoor quest. Try basics like carving your own stamp, making a log book, learning how to hide and locate boxes, and looking up guides to boxes in your area! Adaptable for all ages.

New in 2012! Making Cents in the City (Daisy, Brownie, Junior) It’s never too early to start teaching your girls financial literacy skills. This program will get girls thinking about where their money comes from and how to spend it wisely. Daisies and Brownies will practice counting and spending money and read stories about spending wisely. Juniors will discuss needs verses wants, decision- making, and savings goals; they will also practice paying bills and investing through the game Payday.

New in 2012! Nature Unleashed Fun is in your girls’ nature, and this will help them get outside and explore it. This box kit contains information and field experiments that incorporate fun and learning in an outdoor environment.

SCIENCE (Daisy, Brownie, Junior) Science: ‘Cause It’s Extremely Neat, Cool and Exciting! This kit contains fun science experiments and projects.

String Orienteering (String-O) Girls follow a taut string line as they complete outdoor activities at five different control points, including leaf rubbing, tree measurement, paw print identification, feel box, and string art.

Zink the Zebra (Daisy, Brownie, Junior) Teach girls appreciation of differences, respect for one another, compassion, and understanding.

Flag Ceremony/Etiquette (All ages) Teach your troop or service unit how to do a flag ceremony. This kit contains sample ceremonies and 6 red sashes for a flag color guard. Flags and stands may be checked out separately from the GSMH retail shops.

Investiture/Rededication (All ages) This kit is an easy way for adults to learn a simple investiture/rededication ceremony. It contains an outline for the volunteer facilitator, a ceremony book and items for the Ribbons and Candles ceremony.
