Board of Governors and Senate

Guided by the University Act, the management, administration, and control of the property, revenue, business, and affairs of the university are vested in the Board. The Board consists of appointed members and elected faculty, staff, and students. Members sit as part of the stage party during convocation.

Senate is the academic governing body at UFV responsible for policies concerning academic matters and advising the board on policies of mutual interest. Members of the Senate may also join faculty and members of the Board as part of the stage party.
