Apart from the classic Links-type course, which has been Alcaidesa’s flagship since 1992, since 2007 there is a new Heathland one, which recovers the gently undulating landscape and typical groves of the area. The new course designed by Dave Thomas Ltd offers a variety of natural landscapes ranging from the plateau area (holes 1 to 5 & 17th & 18th) where the course has the feel of a Heathland course with wide fairways & outstanding views of the Mediterranean
sea & the local mountain ranges, including the sierra Nevada, to the river valley where the holes meander along the valley & incorporate various water features/hazards. The New Clubhouse: Standing majestically on the highest point of the resort offering unbeatable views, the avant-garde architecture and 3000m² surface area has set a new benchmark - a fine example of how to blend space and the Andalusian style.
