Introducing the cars that make up the 2023 Camaro Collection!

1969 L78 Pace Car

Owner: Brad McAdam, Churchville NY

This Rare 1969 Pace Car is the only L78 - 396/375 hp Pace Car imported and sold new in Canada. GM kept records of all cars imported into Canada and a search of the records for the Chevrolet Pace Car book by Hooper and Crispino confirmed this. I bought the car from the second owner who gave me the information on the original owner. She was a school teacher who bought the Pace Car In January, 1970. I obtained old color photos of the car from her and listened to her stories about the car.

The L78 Pace Car was optioned like the actual Indy Pace Cars, including with the very rare seat belt shoulder harnesses on a convertible. Another rare option is the engine block heater. The Pace Car has its original engine its original CX coded turbo 400 transmission, and its 3:08 geared posi rear axle.

A frame-off restoration was completed in 2018.

1998 Sport Gold Metallic Camaro

Owner: Patrick & Carol Lewis, Iona MI

This 1998 Sport Gold Metallic Camaro, SS convertible is one of only 7 built. It was purchased through Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids, Michigan and the Lewis’ are the original owners. The color was used for only one year. While there were only 7 Camaros built in this color, they tried to replicate the color on the Corvette and only built fifteen Corvettes total in this color.

1969 Camaro Z28

Owner: Dan Penovich, Naperville IL

This Norwood Ohio built (X33) Z28, is a very original example with the exception of the wearables, and the paint which was restored in its original shade of Garnet Red (52-52) in 1997. The Black Custom Deluxe interior is unrestored, and the original carpeting is still in place.

Since it rolled off the assembly line on February 14, 1969, it has accumulated 71,000 miles but its condition, as shown here, demonstrates the great preservation efforts of the previous owners. This Z28 was delivered new at Albrecht-Hamlin Chevrolet, Inc. in Woods River, IL.
