Machining methods and installation options for Cabineo

The machining for the Cabineo can be carried out in different ways:

1. Three individual holes

2. With a triple drilling unit

3. With a router bit

If the pocket is machined with a router bit, the collar of the Cabineo can also be machined in various ways.

DDX EasyWOOD CAD/CAM touch software for woodworking

The DDX EasyWOOD software covers all aspects of design and machining with 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machines. The required modules/functions can be individually selected as required. The CAD function includes a library for parametric shapes, allows 3D modelling and allows vectorisation of images.

The Lamello P-System connectors and the Cabineo were integrated for parametric design and machining. Collision detection with the 3D graphics simulator, an optimisation of the machining paths of the tools and a function for generating the machine program code are also available.

OMAL specialises in systems and solutions for drilling, dowelling, profiling and insertion technologies for single- and double-sided machines.

The Cube RT2 is a 3-axis controlled CNC machine. It enables vertical machining, horizontal drilling, glueing and dowel insertion. Two sizes are available with machining surfaces of 1 300 or 2 500 mm. Workpiece lengths from 20–1 300/ 2 500 mm, workpiece widths from 40 mm and material thickness from 10–60 mm can be machined. The machine can also be equipped with a horizontal routing unit for milling the edge or grooving. The TR2 also includes a vertical router. The table has a phenolic coating and is equipped with stable double piston tensioners, clamp extensions for narrow parts and an anticollision laser. The machine is controlled by ALBATROS TPA software. Macros were created to perform the cutting for the P-System connectors Clamex P, Tenso P and Divario P bluntly or in 90°. Machining methods for the P-System

There are various machining methods for the P-System profile groove:

1. With a P-System groove cutter (3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis)

2. With the shank tool (3-axis)

3. With a shank tool (5-axis) of on the surface, collar flush with the surface and cover cap flush with the surface are possible. We can also clarify the feasibility of automatic installation of the Cabineo with interested customers.

Note: For reasons of precision, service life, machining time and, therefore, cost-effectiveness, Lamello recommends using a groove cutter for all P-System grooves.

The Connect configuration also enables the insertion of the profile grooves for the Lamello P-System connectors. The connectors can be machined into the surface on all four edges as well as in the X and Y directions. For this application, the Evolution has been expanded to include an additional seventh tool change station, a new compact angle unit and the matching programming macro on NC-Hops.

The machine has a clearance of 1 200 mm in height and unlimited machining in length.

Material thickness from 8 to 70 mm can be machined.

By fixing the workpiece on the rear side, the entire circumference, including horizontal drill holes, can be machined without additional re-clamping.

An optional door package is also available.
