Festival of the Stone coming Our cool local brewer Stone & Wood host an annual Festival of the Stone that has become quite the event, and this year you’re invited. But be quick. Come along and kick back as the sun sets and the beer flows. Enjoy live music and food-truck cuisine with your friends and family at the annual event that celebrates the release of their dark winter seasonal Stone Beer.

For example, the Fig Tree Restaurant (named after its historical 150-year-old fig tree) is hosting an event on Tuesday 22 May to which a multitude of sponsors have donated prizes this year, including Victoria’s at Ewingsdale, Brookfarm, The Book Room Collective and The Farm, just to name a few. Katie Buczynski of Fig Tree says, ‘Byron Bay is an extremely close community where we support invaluable charities such as this. Each year our event showcases the baking talent and traditions of our local country community in support of the Cancer Council. Expect to taste authentic home baking at its finest.’
